Use Cookie Settings to classify each active plugin before it is published. This tells DaknoAdmin which plugin should run for a visitor depending on their preferences.
Choose a category for a plugin
- Go to DaknoAdmin > Site Content & Design > Plugins
- Locate Cookie Settings
- For each plugin, select the category that best describes the plugin’s use
- Select Save.
Cookie categories

| Does not use cookies | Code that does not save a cookie to the visitor's device, such as editing page styling or layout | Immediately |
| Necessary | Required for the site or a requested feature to work | Immediately |
| Preferences | Remembers visitor settings and preferences | User must opt-in |
| Analytics | Measures site usage and performance | User must opt-in |
| Marketing | Used for advertising or visitor tracking | User must opt-in |
When to ask for help
Contact Dakno Support before publishing a plugin if:
- It has more than one purpose, such as analytics and marketing.
- You cannot tell whether it sets cookies or loads a third-party tracking tool.
- It contains custom code supplied by another vendor.
